Inspired by the Masters: Monet

May 5, 2026

Join us on Tuesday, May 5th at the Caldwell-Lake George Library for the third class in our Inspired by the Masters painting series, led by local artist Patrice Jarvis-Weber.
Whether you've never picked up a brush or paint regularly, Patrice guides all skill levels through every step in a supportive, creative atmosphere. This month we're inspired by Monet's Path in the Wheatfields at Pourville — a serene summer scene where he mastered light and atmosphere through impressionist technique. We'll learn his soft, feathery brushstrokes and luminous use of light and color while creating our own finished paintings to take home. We'll also dive into Monet's fascinating life and the remarkable role he played in the history of art.
