A group of Lake George CSD students will display their art skills during a month-long Read to Paint exhibit at Caldwell-Lake George Library. This is the third time the library is hosting the initiative. This year, sixteen students in grades four to seven joined this art program supported by the Adirondack Foundation. Each participant produced an acrylic painting based on their own interpretation of the piece "Goldfish" of French painter Matisse. To produce their work, students had to first interpret instructions provided in French, using a tool kit. French students from Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School acted as a judge panel to select awards and prizes. The Read to Paint program is an opportunity for members of the community to explore the World Languages and Cultures. Participants show commitment, creativity and leadership. They will be planning and hosting the grand opening of the exhibit on May 2nd at 3:15 pm. The exhibit will be on display throughout the month of May.
