Mark Grimaldi
Abstract painter
Inspired by Jackson Pollock
Grimaldi is renowned for his expertise in abstract expressionism; his artistic journey is deeply influenced by the iconic American artist, Jackson Pollock. With a portfolio
of work found in studios, professional offices, and private collections, his signature style captivates viewers worldwide.
Mastering the “drip” technique over years of dedication, Grimaldi infused his own distinct flair into this iconic method. Seeking innovation, he endeavored to adapt the
technique to diverse surfaces, including elevated vertical planes, without revealing traditional “drips.”
Jude Dolton
Photographer
You see something, you pull out your camera and take the picture. That picture is almost exactly what you see in front of you right? That's what photography is at its core, it's a way to capture the world. Since almost everyone has a camera in their pocket, we are seeing the same photos over, and over. The more I have noticed this, the more I have turned away from just documenting what I'm seeing. Using long exposures, I have been taking a more impressionistic approach. I use the term Impressionism because much like the paintings from that era, even with objects and subject matter you can identify the work is very much still abstract.
