Read to Paint Private Student Art Reception

Thanks to the financial help of the Adirondack Foreign Language Enhancement Fund, the LGCSD World Languages Department organized a “Read to Paint” event for 5-7 graders. Its primary goal is to expose students to World Languages and cultures. Fifteen students were encouraged to follow directives written in a foreign language in order to create an acrylic painting.

This juried show will be on exhibit at the library for the whole month of December! The judges will hand out prizes and awards to the students at a private reception on December 3rd (snow date December 6th). “Read to Paint” promotes student’s engagement and diversity, and help to cultivate community partners.
