Called by the Water, funded by the Touba Family Foundation, is the first in a Lake George Historical Association book series relating to Lake George and its people, culture, history and events. In this 52-page book, Gwenne Rippon tells the remarkable story of her mother, Diane Struble, the first person to swim the length of Lake George in 1958. It includes many mid-century Lake George personalities and news articles relating to the iconic event.
